Description
New Zealand born and bred and after decades working in wineries around the world, David Clouston decided to settle in his native Marlborough. The desire to establish himself on home turf was strong and thus Two Rivers was born. Named after the iconic rivers of Marlborough’s renowned Wairau and Awatere valleys, Two Rivers exudes a real sense of place.
After allowing the wines to ferment naturally with wild yeast, David ages his wines in a selection of concrete eggs, clay amphoras and French oak.
‘Altitude’ has an intense nose with aromas of flint and mineral, combined with toasted almonds, citrus and hints of brioche. The palate is elegant and complex with beautiful acidity yet creamy texture.
