Description
Viognier originates from the South of France but is most famous for its work in the Rhone as the grape responsible for the celebrated Condrieu and for its role in the wines of Côte-Rôtie where it is co-fermented into the appellation’s long-lived red Syrah-based wines.
Notoriously tricky to grow and then ripen, Viognier has had a remarkable renaissance in recent years and is now grown across the globe.
Usually full bodied, rich and aromatic, producing wines with great depth and texture, Leduc is a more approachable and easy drinking style of this great variety: peach, apricot and almond aromas prevail with a refreshing yet fruity palate with a smooth and round finish.
