Description
Leading New Zealand winemaker, Matt Thomson is responsible for this wonderfully easy drinking rose.
With vineyards situated in the Valpantena Valley just outside Verona, and at an altitude of up to 400 metres, cool breezes blow down the valley from the foothills of the Dolomites, moderating the climate, and enabling the grapes to ripen slowly and retain their aromatic compounds and acidity. The vines are on average 30 years old and grown on poor, chalky soils to put them under stress and produce superior quality fruit.
Beautiful fresh aromas of strawberries and red cherry are complimented by subtle floral notes. The wine is dry on the palate, with a vibrant red fruit character and a slightly mineral finish. Very drinkable and excellent value.
