I worked for Kim Crawford Wines in Te Awanga, Hawkes Bay in 2002 and have loved and admired the purity of fruit and vibrancy in their wines ever since.
Grapes for this blend are specifically selected from valley and hillside vineyards in Marlborough’s neighbouring Wairau and Awatere valleys. The nose is intense with tropical aromas of passion fruit and guava, along with lifted notes of citrus and crushed herbs and an underlying wet stone minerality. A vibrant acidity on the palate with plenty weight and length. Passion fruit, melon and grapefruit linger on the pure, persistent finish.
