The Wine
A white, still Vinho Verde made by Quinta da Lixa from Loureiro, Treixadura and Arinto. The hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed and fermented for three weeks in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.

Quinta da Lixa
Quinta da Lixa reflects the Meireles family’s longstanding passion for the wines of Vinho Verde.
The family had been involved in a number of different businesses and already owned vineyards around the small village of Lixa when, in 1986, they decided to establish a winery of their own. That small venture has since grown into Quinta da Lixa – Sociedade Agrícola, Lda.
Initially, the wines were sold in bulk, but their quality quickly gained recognition and the family made the decision to begin bottling at the estate. As production increased, the original winery eventually became too small to maintain the standards they had set, leading to the construction of new, purpose-built facilities.
