Trimbach

Trimbach is a highly esteemed winery located in the Alsace region of northeastern France. Founded in 1626, it has been family-run for over 13 generations. Trimbach is renowned for producing some of the finest Alsace wines, notably the exceptional Rieslings and Gewürztraminers.

In the words of Jancis Robinson MW, Trimbach makes “the finest dry Riesling in the World.”

Their wines are characterised by refined elegance, balance, and expressive character. They are typically fermented in stainless steel and aged in large old oak foudres. This approach contributes to the creation of wines that are pure, fresh, and able to age for decades.

One of the estate’s most famous offerings is the “Cuvée Frédéric Emile” Riesling, which is highly sought after by collectors for its ageing potential and nuanced complexity. Another iconic wine is the “Clos Sainte Hune” Riesling, made from a tiny plot within the Grand Cru Rosacker vineyard, renowned for its ability to produce profoundly complex and long-lived Rieslings.

Despite its traditional approach, Trimbach continues to be a leading light in the Alsace region, consistently receiving high praise from critics for the quality and consistency of its wines. Whether you are new to Alsace wines or a seasoned aficionado, Trimbach’s portfolio offers a range of wines that promise a captivating experience.
