Surely all wines are Vegan?
Well actually, No. Traditionally, egg whites or casein (a protein found in milk) are used to fine wines, making them unsuitable for vegans. Wines are fined to remove particles of sediment in wine that cannot be removed by filtration. In Vegan wines, these fine particles are either left to naturally sink to the bottom of the wine, or non-animal fining substitutes are used such as bentonite, a type of clay.
Is there anything else different with a Vegan wine?
Essentially no, you would not notice the difference between a vegan wine and a non-vegan wine. As with all our wine cases the wines in our vegan cases are made by passionate artisans. They all have a story to tell and they are all dedicated to their craft. This is what makes all our wines different.
