Domaine Brusset

This family-run winery is located in the heart of the Southern Rhône Valley, France, and has been crafting wines for over five generations. Established in 1947 by André Brusset, the domaine is now managed by his grandson, Laurent Brusset, who continues the family tradition.

Domaine Brusset owns over 70 hectares of vineyards, particularly in the appellations of Gigondas, Cairanne, and Rasteau. Their focus is on producing elegant, well-structured wines that express the character of each plot of land. They use traditional methods, with a blend of innovation, to enhance the wines’ complexity and flavour profile.

The winery practices ‘minimal intervention’ in both the vineyard and the cellar, allowing nature to take the lead. Their wines are known for their balance, finesse, and depth, with many of their reds featuring a rich blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, while their whites offer a fresh, vibrant mix of Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne.

Domaine Brusset wines have earned a solid reputation among wine lovers worldwide, and a bottle from this estate offers a taste of the Rhône’s heritage with every glass.

From the Handpicked Wine Box Cellars:

Gigondas Tradition Le Grand Montmirail is a Domaine Brusset Grenache. Like all their grapes, these are 100% handpicked, with no yeast added to aid fermentation. It’s packed with black cherry and currant flavours. Les Boudalles blends Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah, Carignan, and Clairette varieties, and again is overflowing with fruit flavours, and a hint of dark chocolate.
