Kim Crawford

Kim Crawford is a name that’s synonymous with wines that bring a touch of New Zealand’s vibrant personality to your glass – and they are a familiar brand to our very own founder, as she worked for them in Te Awanga, Hawkes Bay back in 2002! We have loved and admired the purity of fruit and vibrancy in their wines ever since.

Founded by Kim and Erica Crawford in 1996 in a small Auckland cottage, they had a clear vision from the start: to craft approachable wines of such quality that they that would stand out on the global stage. They achieved this by sourcing grapes from the country’s best wine regions, including Marlborough, known for its exceptional Sauvignon Blanc.

Like many wine producers, they love to try new practices – and Kim Crawford were among the first to embrace screw caps, ensuring their wines retained their freshness and vibrant flavours.

The winery has collected numerous accolades over the years, and even after the Crawfords sold the brand in 2003, the legacy of quality and innovation has continued under new ownership, allowing Kim Crawford to flourish and expand its reach worldwide.

With coastal vineyards that enjoy brisk sea breezes, cool nights and long, dry ripening seasons, Kim Crawford Wines brings a slice of New Zealand’s natural beauty and laid-back charm to wine lovers everywhere.

From the Handpicked Wine Box Cellars:

Kim Crawford’s Sauvignon Blanc wines are a favourite, celebrated for their crisp acidity, tropical fruit flavours, and herbaceous notes. The Small Parcels Spitfire has always been one of our favourites; this small batch, single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is hugely aromatic, with notes of passionfruit, nettles, gooseberry and citrus.
