Don David El Esteco Malbec
Pioneering winery El Esteo was founded in the northwest frontiers of Argentina in 1892 by French immigrants. Here, limits are pushed for grape and wine production, some of the highest vineyards in the country at an altitude of 1,800m. Vines benefit from the endless sunshine and ideal temperature range from hot days to cool nights.
The nose is deep and rich with aromas of berries, currants and plums. Ageing in both French and American oak barrels has brought sophisticated notes of spice and vanilla to the wine. The palate is dense with blackfruits, layers of spice, and hints of vanilla.

Made using sweet, smoked paprika (Pimenton de la Vera) and a mix of herbs and spices, including oregano that comes though beautifully on the palate.
The chorizos are smoked for 3 days over oak to add an extra layer of smokiness to the already smoked paprika.
