At the heart of this hamper are two standout bottles: the Costa Vera Sauvignon Blanc from Chile’s cool Casablanca Valley, crisp, aromatic and bursting with citrus and green herbal notes and the Calusari Pinot Noir from Romania’s Viile Timisului, with its silky texture, dark cherry fruit and gentle spice. Together, they offer the perfect balance of freshness and depth for festive dining.
To accompany the wines, there’s a tempting jute Winter Blend ground coffee for slow, cosy mornings; a Cocoba Christmas Santa Hot Chocolate Spoon for indulgent festive sipping; and a Christmas Chutney from The Jam Queen, the ideal partner for cheese, ham, or cold turkey. I love how this hamper captures the spirit of Christmas, generous, comforting and full of surprises. The Costa Vera Sauvignon Blanc is a real crowd-pleaser: fresh, vibrant and bursting with life, perfect for cutting through rich festive flavours or simply enjoyed on its own while wrapping presents. Then there’s the Calusari Pinot Noir, smooth, elegant and beautifully balanced. It’s one of those wines that everyone seems to love, and it pairs brilliantly with turkey, roast duck or even a Boxing Day buffet.
The food pairings in this hamper have been chosen to offer both indulgence and balance, a little bit of everything that makes the season special. I wanted to include some of my favourite small producers too: The Jam Queen’s chutney is always a hit, and The Real Cure’s venison salami brings a touch of luxury and a nod to British craftsmanship. For me, this is the perfect all-rounder, a proper Christmas treat that feels personal, festive and full of heart.
