The Discovery Spring Wine Case is a fresh, vibrant collection designed to capture the energy of the season. From crisp, aromatic whites to elegant rosé and beautifully balanced reds, this is a wine case that invites exploration and rewards curiosity.
At its heart is a brilliant Austrian Grüner Veltliner from Weinberghof Fritsch. Crafted biodynamically in the Wagram, this is a wine full of character – think yellow orchard fruits, a gentle dusting of white pepper, and a clean, lively finish that keeps you coming back for more.
From New Zealand, Two Rivers Sauvignon Blanc delivers classic Marlborough intensity. Sourced from multiple vineyard sites, it bursts with gooseberry, fresh herbs and a hint of tomato leaf, balanced by a zesty palate and a subtle creamy finish.
For something effortlessly elegant, the 2800 Côtes de Provence Rosé is a standout. Pale, refined and delicately fruited, it offers a whisper of red berries and a refreshing, dry finish – a perfect expression of Provence sunshine.
The reds bring depth and versatility. Château Grand Moulin’s Grenache from Corbières is rich and generous, packed with ripe red berries, black cherry and gentle spice, all wrapped in smooth tannins and a long, satisfying finish.
From Sicily, Curatolo Arini’s Nero d’Avola adds warmth and charm. Grown at altitude for freshness, it delivers ripe cherry, plum and violet notes with a soft, approachable structure and a touch of spice.
Completing the case is a beautifully poised Pinot Noir from Markus Molitor in the Mosel. Light to medium-bodied, with bright cherry fruit, floral notes and a fine mineral edge, it’s an elegant and expressive red with real finesse.
This is a carefully curated mixed wine case that showcases exceptional producers, diverse regions and a true sense of place. Ideal for discovering new favourites, entertaining guests or simply enjoying a glass of something a little different.
This is exactly the sort of case I love putting together at this time of year. Spring is all about freshness, energy and a bit of excitement in the glass, and every wine here delivers that in its own way.
The Grüner Veltliner is a personal favourite – it’s so versatile and always overdelivers. I also wanted a proper Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc in here, but one with a bit more texture and interest, which Two Rivers does beautifully.
The Provence rosé is simply irresistible once the sun starts to show, and the reds are chosen to be approachable but still full of character. The Nero d’Avola is a brilliant crowd-pleaser, while the Pinot Noir adds that lighter, more elegant style that works so well with spring dishes.
It’s a case for trying something new, sharing with friends, and enjoying those longer, lighter evenings.
