As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Sangiovese is not widely grown or recognised in Chile. Originally from Italy, Sangiovese is known for its bright acidity and flavours of red cherries and herbs. Chile’s wine industry is highly innovative, so it’s possible that some producers have experimented with this variety. However, more research or direct contact with Chilean wine associations or producers would be required for up-to-date and specific information about Chilean Sangiovese.
