Portuguese Espadeiro

Espadeiro is a red wine grape variety indigenous to Portugal, primarily grown in the Vinho Verde region. It’s often used in the production of both still and sparkling rosé wines. Espadeiro wines typically display a vibrant pink hue and are known for their fresh, fruity character, often exhibiting notes of wild strawberries, raspberries, and a hint of floral aroma. The palate is crisp, light-bodied and characterised by refreshing acidity, making Espadeiro wines a delightful accompaniment to seafood and light summer dishes.
