I chose the Crémant de Bourgogne for its versatility—it’s a sparkling wine that stands up beautifully as an aperitif or pairs elegantly with Christmas nibbles. The Sancerre from Domaine Jean-Paul Picard is a personal favourite; its citrusy brightness and mineral complexity remind me of quiet moments of reflection, a lovely balance before the festive rush.
The Neropasso is a bold addition to this selection, perfect for the warmth and comfort it brings to Christmas Eve gatherings. And then there are the accompaniments: each one chosen to elevate a different moment. The smoky roasted nuts and fruity chutney capture the essence of the holiday table, while the Colombian coffee and Assam tea offer a grounding start or end to a day filled with indulgence.
