A Journey Through Italy in Six Bottles
This Discovery Italian Wine Case is a handpicked collection that takes you on a tour of Italy’s most captivating wine regions. Showcasing six distinctive bottles, it balances crisp whites with expressive reds, bringing together both famous grapes and hidden gems. Perfect for those who love variety, discovery, and authentic Italian winemaking.
The Gavi di Gavi from Terre Antiche is elegant and refreshing, with aromas of stone fruit, apple and lime peel, finishing with minerality and finesse. A benchmark expression of Cortese from Piemonte’s finest vineyards.
The Briccotondo Arneis Langhe DOC by Fontanafredda is soft and aromatic, exuding ripe pears, blossom and honey. With its crisp yet mouth-filling palate, this Arneis from Piemonte shows why the grape’s popularity is soaring.
From the Marche, the Titulus Verdicchio by Fazi Battaglia delights with pear, apple and aniseed aromas. Tangy, rich and mineral, it finishes with the classic almond note that makes Verdicchio so distinctive.
The Rubio Sangiovese by San Polo captures the essence of Tuscany with currants, cherries and spiced orange peel. Smooth and vibrant, this red is medium- to full-bodied, perfectly balanced and made from organically certified vineyards in Montalcino.
The Ludovico Rosso Riserva by Tenute Orestiadi is a bold Sicilian blend of Nero d’Avola and Cabernet Sauvignon. Overflowing with dark fruits, mulberry and prunes, it is layered with liquorice, pepper and tobacco spice. Powerful, velvety and deeply satisfying.
Completing the set is the Dolcetto d’Alba by G.D. Vajra. Intensely coloured with aromas of black cherry, blueberry, violet and liquorice, it is lifted by fresh thyme and delivers a palate full of energy and finesse. A classic Dolcetto from one of Piemonte’s most admired producers.
Together, these six wines create a truly varied and rewarding Italian experience – a discovery case full of character, balance and authenticity.

Becky Says:
I’ve chosen this case because it shows just how exciting Italian wine can be when you look beyond the obvious. The whites are fresh, elegant and so versatile – Gavi di Gavi and Arneis are perfect examples of northern Italian precision, while Verdicchio brings something a little different with its almond finish.
For the reds, I wanted to include a true Tuscan Sangiovese alongside bold, sun-drenched Sicily and a vibrant Dolcetto from Piemonte. Each has its own story, style and personality, yet together they make such a satisfying mix.
This case is all about variety – wines to suit every mood, every dish and every occasion. It’s a little Italian adventure in six bottles, and that’s why I love it.
