Description
This Remarkable 2 Bottle Ribera del Duero Wine Gift Set brings together two standout wines that show the depth and diversity of this iconic Spanish region. One white, one red, both carefully chosen to offer something a little different, while staying true to the character and quality Ribera del Duero is known for.
This is a wine gift set designed for those who enjoy exploring beyond the obvious. It combines a textured, mineral-driven Albillo with a structured, oak-aged Tempranillo, giving a balanced and complete snapshot of the region.
El Lebrero is a striking white that challenges expectations. Made from Albillo, it’s layered and expressive, with ripe orchard fruit, white blossom and a gentle herbal note. There’s a chalky mineral edge running through it, bringing lift and precision. On the palate, it’s broad and textured, with citrus peel, subtle spice and a savoury, almost nutty finish. Fermented with native yeasts and aged on its lees, it has real depth while retaining freshness and clarity.
Marqués de Burgos Crianza provides a classic, structured contrast. Made from Tempranillo grown on high-altitude vineyards, this is a more powerful expression of Ribera del Duero. Expect ripe red cherry and wild berry fruit, layered with black pepper, sweet spice and hints of roasted coffee from its time in French oak. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, with ripe tannins and balanced acidity carrying the wine through to a long, persistent finish.
Together, these wines show both sides of Ribera del Duero. The white brings texture, freshness and something unexpected, while the red delivers depth, structure and classic regional character.
This is a refined and thoughtful Spanish wine gift set, ideal for anyone who enjoys wines with personality, balance and a clear sense of place.

Becky Says: “A fresh take on Ribera”
I really like this pairing because it shows Ribera del Duero in a slightly different light.
The Albillo is the one that always gets people talking. It’s not what people expect from the region, but it has real texture and interest, especially with food. Then the Crianza brings everything back to that classic Ribera style, structured, polished and full of flavour.
They balance each other really well. One a bit more unexpected, the other reassuringly familiar. It’s a simple two bottle set, but it feels complete and considered.
