Trincadeira, also known as Tinta Amarela, is a high-quality red grape variety indigenous to Portugal. It is most notably grown in the Alentejo, Douro and Dão regions. Wines made from Trincadeira are known for their deep colour, firm tannins, and high alcohol content. They exhibit complex aromas of raspberry and blackberry, coupled with floral and herbaceous notes, often displaying a touch of spice with ageing.
