Description
Les Caves de la Loire is a cooperative winery in Brissac-Quincé, a commune just south of Angers. It was established in 1951 and comprises 160 growers and 1,600 hectares of vineyards, most of which are located in Anjou.
Les Caves de la Loire is certified ‘AgriConfiance’ and ‘Démarche Vignerons En Développement Durable’. ‘AgriConfiance’ ensures that all growers adhere to sustainable practices, providing complete traceability from grape to bottle. ‘Vignerons En Développement Durable’ is specific to the wine industry and denotes sustainability in the entire wine production process: viticulture, winemaking and employment.
The ‘Wally’ Sauvignon Blanc is zesty, with lively acidity, hints of passion fruit and gooseberry, excellent balance and a clean finish. Its counterpart, ‘Wally’ Chenin Blanc shares the same great purity of fruit, accompanied by hints of white flowers. It also has excellent acidity, ensuring the final wine is rich yet refreshing.
Pale gold in colour, this Chenin Blanc offers aromas of fresh apricot and lime that mingle with hints of honey and acacia flowers. The bright palate has a lovely texture and flavours of roasted nuts on the moreish finish.
