Spanish Pinot Noir

Spanish Pinot Noir is a red wine grape variety that, although most famous for its expression in Burgundy, France, has found its way to certain areas of Spain. While not as widespread as Tempranillo or Garnacha, Pinot Noir is cultivated in cooler Spanish regions such as Catalonia and Navarra, where the climate and soil conditions are favourable for this delicate grape. The resulting wines tend to be light to medium-bodied, with high acidity and flavours of red fruits like strawberries, cherries, and raspberries. Depending on the winemaking process, they can also reveal earthy and spicy undertones. If you enjoy elegant, nuanced red wines with a balanced acidity, Spanish Pinot Noir may pique your interest.
