Description
Founded in 1591, the Academia de los Nocturnos was a meeting place for some of Valencia’s greatest literary and artistic figures. Among the members of this academy we find the notable writer Lope de Vega. Wine was ever present at these boisterous night gatherings and served as an inspiration for them all.
A vibrant expression of Spain’s native Bobal grape, this wine shows a deep cherry red hue with a bright core and elegant legs. The nose is fragrant and inviting, bursting with ripe cherries and juicy red berries, lifted by delicate notes of toffee, vanilla and subtle oak spice. On the palate, it’s beautifully balanced, combining generous fruit with a supple texture and fine, well-integrated tannins. The structure is smooth yet confident, leading to a fresh, rounded finish that lingers with hints of red fruit and gentle sweetness.
