Description
Benefiting from cool nights and sea breezes to facilitate an extended growing season, the vines for Aloe Tree Shiraz hail from specific vineyards in the increasingly fashionable west coast of the Cape and result in perfectly balanced, ripe grapes.
The extra warmth and climate in this area help develop a full body and seductive, ripe flavours. The vines, some up to 30 years in age, are planted on Karoo clay soils that add body and texture to the wine. ageing in French oak also enhances these characteristics, whilst regular pumping-over during fermentation enriches colour extraction.
Bursting with dark berry flavours of blackberry, dark cherry and plums, this Shiraz has soft and supple tannins and hints of white pepper on the finish.
