Description
Since its conception in 1997, Giants Steps has forged a reputation for making some of the Yarra Valley’s most consistently exciting wines from estate-owned vineyards.
Made from hand-picked fruit using gravity-flow winemaking, indigenous yeasts, and minimal fining and filtration; everything at Giants Steps is minimum intervention.
Fermented and aged in mostly old, 500 litre French oak barrels, this is an elegant, refined and delicate Chardonnay that is also surprisingly voluptuous. The nose shows classic Yarra characters of fresh melon and intense citrus flavours, underpinned with notes of marzipan and hazelnut. Crisp acidity ensures a refreshing, clean finish.
