From its beginnings as a farm diversification project in 2008, Hattingley Valley has grown to become one of the leading wineries in the UK. The Robinson family took their first steps into wine production by planting a vineyard on their Hampshire farm, unaware of just how far the journey would take them. Today, the estate boasts a 600-tonne, eco-friendly winery, purpose-built under the guidance of then Head Winemaker, Emma Rice. Emma made the most of Simon Robinson’s limited industry knowledge (and, at the time, generous chequebook) to ensure the winery was fitted with top-of-the-range equipment throughout. The result is one of the most advanced wineries in the world—though Simon’s chequebook is now considerably lighter.Pink grapefruit and sweet marshmallow on the palate, bring a balanced and highly drinkable quality to this English sparkling wine. With just a touch of oak ageing, it has a delightful creaminess, that effortlessly complements a variety of cuisines.
