Description
A filmmaker by trade, Michael Seresin set out to make his wines in the most natural way possible; adhering to both organic and biodynamic practices and full biodiversity in the vineyard.
This wine is certified biodynamic and is certainly not your average Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Michael describes his winery as new world with an old-world approach. In his words ‘we are in no hurry when it comes to our wines. We let the wild yeasts that live in our vineyard ferment the grape juice into wine. Working this way does take more time, but we get wines with added savouriness and more mouth-watering textures and flavours. They also show a unique sense of place. Good things come to those who wait.’
Natural primary and partial secondary fermentation, and extended lees ageing in old oak have resulted in a Sauvignon Blanc completely atypical of the region; a wine with great complexity and age ability.
Overflowing with concentrated, ripe tropical notes, citrus and gooseberry, this stand-out Sauvignon employs the perfect balance between complexity and drinkability – a delight.
