Description
Château Montgrand-Milon is made at Château Fonbadet, which is situated in the north of the small village of Saint-Lambert in Pauillac, close to the banks of the Gironde river. The estate was part of Château Latour from the Middle Ages until the beginning of the 20th century when it was purchased by the current owners, the Peyronie family.
The vineyards are located near to some of the most reputed estates in Bordeaux, including Château Mouton-Rothschild and, of course, Château Latour. The vines are over 50 years old, planted on gravel and sandy soils at a density of 10,000 vines per hectare. The vines are double-cordon trellised and planted on gentle slopes, with all harvesting done by hand.
