Description
Also known as Muscat of Alexandria, Zibibbo is a rare and ancient Sicilian grape variety, with a history that dates back over 5,000 years.
Originally from Egypt, Zibibbo is now planted in France, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Chile, Australia and even Peru.
Thriving in Sicily, vines for this wine are grown on Mandrarossa’s best sites in the southwestern end of the island.
An aromatic nose with aromas of citrus, orange blossom, peach and jasmine, the palate is fresh and dry. The flavours coming through on the palate reflect those on the nose with the addition of apricot. The finish is balanced and long. Some complexity.
A lovely wine that should not be overlooked!
