Description
Te Quiero is made by a Spanish producer focused on organic farming and traditional vineyard practices. The wine comes from La Mancha in central Spain, where hot days and cool nights help grapes ripen fully while keeping freshness. The aim here is simple: honest, approachable wines that reflect the vineyard rather than heavy winemaking.
What is a field blend?
A field blend means different grape varieties are planted together in the same vineyard, harvested at the same time and fermented as one. Having small amounts of different varieties means it is not practical to vinify them separately. This was common practise before modern winemaking separated grapes by variety.
The benefit is natural balance. Some grapes bring freshness, others add depth, colour or softness, and together they create a more interesting and harmonious wine.
Typical grape varieties in this ‘field blend’ include Shiraz, Tempranillo, Bobal and Cabernet Franc as well as smaller amounts of other indingenous varieties.
