Description
Located in a prime position along the Douro, the name Crasto comes from the Latin castrum meaning “Roman fort”. Winemaking at Quinta do Crasto can be traced back to at least 1615 when it was greatly prized and received the highest vineyard classification of the time. Today, Quinta do Crasto has been in the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for more than a century and it is now the fourth generation of the Roquette family who run this emblematic estate.
A full and fruity nose with aromas of red berries, violets and subtle oak. The palate is soft and fruity with nuances of red berry, wild fruit and integrated oak characters. A lovely wine.
